Carousel Leisure Amusement arcade, Swansea
on my visit
And let you know what was there.
There were a couple of old classics
in there.
2 Nudge Double Up Deluxe mk1s.
A Crystal version NDUD from 1989
on 10p/£5 as well.
Also a couple of Tuppenny Nudgers and
2p Unlimited all on mpu4.
An mpu4 Colossus on 5p/£5.
2 Bar X's with the narrow reels on 10p/£5 jackpot
A Crystal Easy Money which was awful!
Most of everything else was
25p/£25 machines you see in
Most other arcades like Magic 7s
Bar X7s,etc.
Party Time, Hokey Coakey and Oxo club multi players
And a few 500s.
Oh...and some with Noel Edmunds mugs on them hehehe.
Also of note was a 3rd SRU NDUD but
sadly this was not working.
There is an over 18s area as well but didn't venture into it tbh.
Happily filming is allowed and some vids were done for you to view at leisure on my YouTube channel.
Thanks for reading and watching.

BFM Sys85 ROM cart
Had a board in to repair and forgot I didn't have a ROM cart. As I was stuffed without one I decided it might be a good idea to make one especially as it's only a single sided board.
Luckily I'd taken some hi res pics of a board a while back so it was fairly straightforward to convert it into my PCB package (Diptrace).
Here's the board after etching and tinning.
Then a bit of drilling and component fitting and voila. I'd run out of 0 Ohm resistors hence the wire link in case anyone asks.
Not quite on the same scale as Andrew's grand efforts but all done in the garage.
Oh, and if you were wondering, it does work.
Anyone selling a reel crazy.
Globe Trotter DX - ACE - spACE
This old ACE machine has been almost 5yrs in the making for me, lost interest with it on several occasions. See my post back in 2003, @stevedude2 I keep my promises & @wearecity you're joke on the first page was only 4yrs out.
Took some liberties with a few lamps here and there as we were never 100% sure of hidden/feature ones. Thanks to everyone's input on that and clearing up the whole 'fair play' reel situation which is not in this rom revision.
Thanks to...

Naughty but nice
Tempted to sell it as taking up valuable space now.
Could also easily hold on to it just can’t get the time I’d like to do it may be of interest to someone on here I’m in Lisburn co.antrim
Can anyone identify this Resistor (R2) please?
Is anyone able to identify the value of this resistor (R2 in the pic) please - as you can see I think it needs replacing!
The board its on is from a Maygay M2 Power Supply Unit.
The machine is a Big Break Quiz Machine.
The problem is that the machine works fine from cold for 20mins, but then dies.
Could this be due to this resistor, or something else?
I’m confident it’s not the monitor or the MPU main board, so I’m edging towards the PSU being faulty.
While I’m at it, I will probably replace the 2x caps and also the Bridge Rectifier, but also need to identify the value of the resistor to complete the operation.
Any help / advice / schematics for this PSU appreciated. Pictures as follows:
Replacement Opto Sensor
Any ideas where best to get one? Had a look on ebay after StanMarsh put the link up on another post but there were only two listings?
Wasn't sure if there is a spare parts section/forum on this site or specialist websites?
Also are they like fuses? In that they're generic and cover different machines. I've got a MPU-5 "Red Gaming" machine
cheers
JMP Impact Reel 4 not initialising
Finally got a processor board for my machine, powered it up, all 4 reels spin and the main 3 stop at Jackpot. The hi low reel continually spins and won't initialise.
Anyone got any idea what it might be?
The reel was missing when I first got the machine and I replaced it, I have added a picture. Did I plug it in right or is it the wrong reel? The top 2 pins on the reel side are not connected to the main loom?
Thanks

Here is a different variant on the standard £4 cash explosion, this is the rarer £4.80 rom which i sourced from here

Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!
Again Big Thanks goto Pook for the original £4 layout this is based on!!!
